Envy is a natural human emotion, but it can be harmful in the workplace. Research co-authored at Cambridge Judge Business School finds that in evaluating colleagues’ creative ideas, people can have benign envy or malicious envy – so managers need to understand this better to ensure that the most creative ideas are not stifled.
